Abstract

Kim spent most of his career painting nature, because he loved it. However his style was always about bold color and line as well as subtle nuances. For most of his teaching career he lived in an area of the United States where abstract art was not highly regarded. Kim always had a great appreciation for abstract art, but while he was teaching and exhibiting he didn’t take his own art in that direction very often.

In later years after retiring from teaching he began to pursue his impressions of life and events more abstractly. This is a small selection of work currently available as fine art prints.
